This excursion allows you to get comfortably up to 3000 meters on the north side of the Etna. It is recommended for families. The starting point is the Tourist Station of Piano Provenzana, the appointment is scheduled at 10:00 at an altitude of 1800 meters, which can be reached with your car. After purchasing the tickets at the excursions office on the spot, you will be boarded on a special vehicle 4×4 for the climb to 2800m, all accompanied by a guide that will explain the characteristics of the volcano along the way. Arrived near the volcanological observatory (active structure to monitor the volcano) a guided walk will be carried out, up to the edge of the Bove valley, right in front of the summit craters of Etna. After this short simple trekking, you return aboard the 4×4 vehicle, which will bring you in front of the 2002 crater path where always accompanied by the driving will take place a little longer than about 800 meters in which you will visit the large craters that They destroyed the Piano Provenzana structures in 2002, along the way you will also see the ruins of a hotel swallowed by lava.
